We are trying to win money for our playground and we need you to VOTE! An insurance company called AVIVA is giving away $1000000 divided up between 30 winners. We are in the 2nd round to try to get in to the semi-finals. We need to be in the top 10 ideas of our budget category to move on to the semis. We need all the votes we can get so please tell family and friends. All you need is a email address and register online. VOTE DAILY!!

Some people have been concerned about sharing their email address with AVIVA. They need you to register that way to count votes and to insure that you are a l"live person and not a computer voting.

PAC Meeting

PAC Meeting - Thursday, October 11 at 8:30 at the school. We will be deciding on our budget with a few other things thrown in. If you have additions to the agenda please email greendalepac@live.com .

Annual Bake Sale and Scholastic Book sale is this week.

Wednesday and Thursday from 12-7. All money raised goes towards the library. Come on out and tell your family and friends.

As most of you know we have entered a contest to win the money for our playground. We need to gather votes on line and be in the top 10 of our budget category to move on. We are in the first round right now and if we don’t make it this round we have 2 more chances to try.

WE NEED TO GET THE WORD OUT TO VOTE AND WE NEED YOUR HELP TO DO IT!

First we are asking that you register at the link below or go to the PAC blog (greendalepacinfo@blogspot.com ) and VOTE! Send out the link through FACEBOOK, TWITTER and especially by word of mouth.

Second we are running a contest for the students to create a poster promoting voting for our playground.

There will be two categories: K-3 and 4-6

Your poster must include:

1.       The school’s name Greendale Elementary Community School

2.       The name AVIVA Insurance Community Fund

3.      The link http://www.avivacommunityfund.org/ideas/acf13443 and/or

greendalepacinfo@blogspot.com

4.      The poster must be at least 8 ½ by 11

5.      BE CREATIVE

 

The deadline is Monday October, 15^th. Winners will be announced by October 18^th. The winning poster from each category will have their poster mad into a large outdoor banner and will be hung outside the school to promote voting.
